tonight’s football

Therapy Thursday..the big game.  After the Champions league friendly between Liverpool and the Arsenal last night we are being treated to a showdown of mammoth proportions in Gracemount this evening. Bloomberg, back to their original formation of Nigel, Rodney, Tim, Nick2D2, and George W, should provide stiff competition to a strong All Good team. Both Nigel and Tim have been forced out in recent weeks due to injury and international commitments. The Welsh wizard Ifor Giggs has been forced to withdraw from all cup competitions lately due to travel restrictions imposed upon him by his bosses at the Welsh assembly, more on that later.  Word from the All Good camp is  that the the young Italian striker known as Giorgio has been left on the bench for this evenings big match as the backroom staff decided to  bring back Adrian ’stoke city’ Evans after a short stint in rehab in Spain. Speaking exclusively to the ‘online’ Evans has said he is honoured to be back in the squad after the boss was impressed with his attitude in midweek training. This promises to be a riveting match between two well matched sides both hoping for a slice of glory in this evenings huge game.

Bennets-Cameo V vs All-good Allstarz

Words by Tim  Farrand, our man in Gracemount

Some great first touches from Nigel, Rodders, George and myself in midfield sapped the belief out of All Good in the opening half which finished 11-5.

At half time It looked like All Good were finished. But driven by Murphy and Kevin upfront they crawled back to level the score at 14-14, exploiting the lame Ifor Parfitt, alias Ifor the engine, in goal to great effect.  Ifor, forced into goal in the opening 5 mins of the game, after pulling a thigh muscle, kept out a blinding right foot drive from Kevin from 20 yards in the dying minutes of the game to keep the dream alive.

All credit too to Nick le fleurette, alias the flying keeper, in the opposing goal, but it was not to be. In extra time all-good went down 2-0 on the best of 3 rule.

Man of the match goes to Nigel Bixby for his fabregas-style performance.
